High Holy Day Appeal 5786 | 2025

L’Shanah Tovah!

As we enter 5786, I’ve been reflecting on one word to guide us in the year ahead: strength — strength in our community, strength in our traditions, and strength in our shared commitment to Temple life.

The High Holy Days remind us that Judaism is not only what we believe, but what we do together. We pray together, celebrate together, and support one another — spiritually and practically. That support ensures our Temple remains a welcoming, vibrant, and sustainable home for all.

Here’s the truth: membership dues alone do not cover our full operating costs. That’s why the High Holy Day Appeal is one of the most important ways we bridge the gap. Last year, 58% of our members participated. If this year everyone gave even at the second suggested level, we could reduce our projected deficit by 15%. That’s the power of our community.

Your gift makes so much possible: inspiring worship, a strong Religious School, lifecycle support, educational programs, care for members in need, and outreach to the larger community. It keeps our doors open, our lights on, and our hearts connected.

This year, please make your High Holy Day gift at a level that reflects your appreciation for Temple life — and your hopes for its future. If you’re able, consider stretching one step higher than last year.

We’re also inviting everyone to share their “One Word for the New Year” — the single word that captures what you’re wishing for in 5786.

From my family to yours, I wish you a year of health, joy, and meaning. May we enter 5786 with renewed strength — and may that strength come from knowing we build this sacred home together.
L'shanah Tovah u'metukah!
