LEFT LUGGAGE - Sunday, March 15 at 1:00 pm
Set in Antwerp, Belgium in the early 70s, Left Luggage tells the story of Chaja (Laura Fraser), an impetuous, liberal-minded philosophy student. She has a complex relationship with her parents, who both survived the Nazi concentration camps. She needs money so she gets a job as a nanny for a Hassidic family, whose world is completely alien to her liberated lifestyle. She becomes close to their son and through this relationship learns about the lives of her own parents. 

SHANGHAI GHETTO - Sunday, April 26 at 1:00 pm
When Nazi influence overrode Germany, many Jews were forced to leave their homes and flee the country. This is the story of those who made their way into the far-flung slums of Shanghai, where they built a humble enclave before Japanese invaders chased them across the Pacific Ocean to eventual residence in the United States. Their heartbreaking trials and travels are revealed through archival footage, personal letters and modern-day interviews with two of these indomitable survivors. 

LIBERTY HEIGHTS - Saturday, May 16 at 7:00 pm
This semi-autobiographical film by Barry Levinson follows various members of the Kurtzman clan, a Jewish family living in suburban Baltimore during the 1950s. As teenaged Ben (Ben Foster) completes high school, he falls for Sylvia (Rebekah Johnson), a black classmate, creating inevitable tensions. Meanwhile, Ben's brother, Van (Adrien Brody), attends college and becomes smitten with a mysterious woman and their father (Joe Mantegna) tries to maintain his burlesque business.
